BEP 02 · Parish Blue
The painting side of a kitchen remodel: walls, ceilings, cabinets and trim, sequenced around the other trades. Every job starts with a free written estimate.
Kitchens · New OrleansWhat is included
At Big Easy Painters, we take the painting side of a kitchen remodel: the walls and ceiling, the cabinets, the trim and the doors. The order matters, so we work to the schedule the other trades are on.
Patched and primed after the dust of the other trades has settled.
New or existing doors, degreased and primed for what they are made of.
Brushed by hand where the finish is at eye level.
Cutting in cleanly around tile, stone and fitted units.
We come in when the surface is ready, not before.
How a color looks under kitchen lighting, before it is ordered.
Why us
Because the painting order decides how much gets done twice. Agreeing it before the units land saves the repaint later.
Fully covered in Louisiana, on every job we take on.
Scope, preparation, product and price before we start. No verbal numbers.
Which surfaces get painted before the units arrive, and which after.
We prepare after the cutting is finished, so the finish stays clean.
New floors, new worktops and new units covered while we work.
Walls, cabinets and trim in a single written price.
On the job
Walls, ceilings and cabinets in a room the other trades have not finished with. This is the stage we come in at, and the stage we hand back.

Process
Four steps: you book a visit, we look at the plan and the room, you get a written estimate, then we work to the agreed sequence.
Call or send the form. We agree a time and confirm it beforehand.
What is being replaced, what is staying, and when each trade is in.
Scope, preparation, product and price, in writing.
Ceilings and walls first where we can, then cabinets and trim.

Questions
When the painting should happen, whether new cabinets need finishing, and how the new surfaces are protected.
Usually after the dusty work is finished and before the final fittings go on, but it depends on what is being replaced. We look at the plan at the walk-through and agree the order in writing.
Some arrive finished and some arrive primed or bare. If yours need finishing we will say so at the estimate, along with the primer the material needs.
Yes. Cutting in against tile, stone and fitted units is part of the work, and the new surfaces are covered while we do it.
It can, which is why we prepare after the cutting and sanding is done. Painting into settling dust is how a finish ends up rough.
Yes. Tell us who is running the job and we will fit the painting into their schedule rather than asking them to work around us.
Yes, and in a kitchen it is worth doing at the same time. Cooking marks a ceiling more than most rooms, and it is the hardest surface to come back to later.
Yes. Bring a door or the color code to the walk-through, and we will talk through how it reads under the kitchen lighting.
